IBAK CCTV Camera Repair Technician

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced IBAK CCTV Camera Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining IBAK sewer and stormwater pipeline inspection camera systems. This is a specialized position requiring strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair IBAK CCTV sewer inspection cameras, crawler systems, cable reels, control units, and associated equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, testing, and quality inspections.
• Perform cost-effective repairs to electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical components whenever possible while maintaining manufacturer’s quality standards and specifications
• Identify failures in cameras, pan-and-tilt systems, crawler drives, lighting systems, and control electronics.
• Document repairs, parts used, testing results, and service recommendations.
• Support inventory controls through proper parts tracking and reporting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate repair status and technical findings with management team.
• Assist with equipment setup, system testing, and final operational verification before usage.

SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience repairing IBAK CCTV sewer inspection equipment or comparable pipeline inspection camera systems.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, mechanical assemblies, wiring, motors, drive systems, and CCTV inspection technology.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical service manuals.
• Experience with soldering, electronic diagnostics, and precision mechanical repair.
• Familiarity with sewer and stormwater inspection equipment and industry applications.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Factory training or certification on IBAK equipment.
• Experience with pipeline inspection crawlers, transporters, cable drums, and inspection software.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver’s license; must meet company driver safety standards and pass a motor vehicle report check
• Must pass a criminal background check, credit/financial background check, professional reference verification, and pre-employment drug screen.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, scheduled for at least 40 working hours per week, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Regular and consistent attendance is required. 

COMPENSATION

• Salary: $75,000-$90,000 based on experience
