U.S. Hydraulics Inc. is hiring a full-time, immediate Manual Lathe Machinist in Manchester, New Hampshire.
This is a varied, "job-to-job" role rather than high-production manufacturing. It focuses heavily on Manual Machining with some CNC operation, specifically creating and repairing hydraulic components and prototypes.

Core Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of machining experience. They cannot train a complete beginner, but they will help "bring up to speed" someone with basic skills and a great attitude.
- Technical Skills: Must know internal/external grooving, single-point threading, and how to hold tolerances between .002" and .005".
- Materials & Tooling: Knowledge of proper tool/insert selection for materials like 1026 steel, 1045 steel, and stainless steel.
- Equipment Used: Manual Bridgeport lathes, LeBlond Lathe 60, Clausing drill press, manual horizontal mills, bench grinders, planers, and dry blasting machines.
- CNC Knowledge: Helpful but not the main focus. The shop utilizes Fadal and Haas CNC machines.
- Tools: You must own your own precision measuring tools.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and customer sketches.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and Digital Readouts (DROs).
- Set up and tear down your own projects with minimal supervision.
- Perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, twisting, prolonged standing, and lifting over 25 pounds.
- Maintain, clean, and lubricate your assigned machines and workspace.
- Have reliable transportation for a Monday-through-Friday schedule.
- Welding experience is a plus but not required.
