Purchasing & Sourcing Coordinator (Bedding & Pet – Off-Price Retail)

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Purchasing & Sourcing Coordinator to support our bedding and pet product categories (comforters, sheet sets, pillows, pet beds, pads, toys, etc.) for the off-price retail market. This role focuses on cost-effective sourcing, fast turnaround, and strong vendor coordination, while working closely with the design team on product development to meet customer and market needs.Key Responsibilities
- Source bedding and pet products from domestic and overseas vendors (primarily Asia)
- Request quotes, negotiate pricing, and secure competitive costs for off-price retail programs
- Place and manage purchase orders from initial order through production and delivery
- Track production timelines and ensure on-time shipment for retail deadlines
- Work closely with internal designers to develop new products, including materials, construction, and cost targets
- Collaborate with factories on sampling, revisions, and production approvals
- Coordinate packaging, labeling, and compliance requirements for various retail accounts
- Monitor inventory and identify opportunities for stock buys or closeout deals
- Communicate regularly with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve production, quality, or shipping issues
- Maintain accurate costing sheets and margin tracking
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or production (home textiles or pet products preferred)
- Experience working with overseas factories (China, India, Pakistan preferred)
- Familiarity with bedding and/or pet products is highly preferred
- Experience supporting product development and sampling processes is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of cost structure and margin management
- Proficient in Excel (costing, tracking, analysis)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
