US Heart and Vascular is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Birmingham Heart Clinic in Birmingham, AL.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform PET scans
- Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have
- Follow safety procedures to protect the patients and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as required
- Operate imaging equipment
- Maintain detailed procedure records
- Follow safety and disposal radiation procedures
Requirements, Skills, and Abilities
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
- Registered with ARRT or NMTCB
- BLS/CPR certification
