What are the responsibilities and job description for the Echo Sonographer position at US Heart & Vascular?
US Heart and Vascular is in search of a PRN Echo or Dual Sonographer to join our team at Fort Worth Heart in Fort Worth, TX.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs Echo, Bubble studies, Stress Echo studies and Vascular ultrasound examinations including Lower extremity arterials, venous including insufficiency/reflux scans, carotids and ABIs.
- Explains procedures to patients and obtains informed consent from patient.
- Obtains insurance precertification for testing as necessary.
- Performs test result abstracting to EMR as necessary.
- Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- May be required to move between locations as needed for PTO/vacation time for full-time staff.
Qualifications:
- Two years of experience preferred but not required.
- Credentialed in Adult Echocardiography (ARDMS or CCI) is required.
- Registry in Echo and Vascular sonography is desired.
