Electrophysiology ACNP with Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ-Outpatient Clinic Setting
Pima Heart and Vascular has an amazing full-time opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Electrophysiology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner; to work with an Electrophysiologist whose practice consists of EP and Cardiology. This is a chance to work with the largest private cardiology practice in AZ. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the Electrophysiologist as well as independently. An electrophysiology nurse practitioner—a specialty in cardiology nursing—assists and educates patients undergoing an electrophysiology study procedure of the heart. An electrophysiology study of the heart involves a nonsurgical procedure to obtain information about the heart's electrical activity.
Candidates must have:
- Two years of experience working as experienced out-patient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
- Master's degree in Nursing; graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- Active AZ license or willing to apply.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Skills:
- General health care and cardiovascular patient assessment and exam skills
- Electrophysiology experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to function independently
- Demonstrate knowledge and competence in basic cardiovascular technology, i.e. EKG, patient assessment and management of care, etc.

The Cardiology APP will maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governed by the Arizona Board of Nursing, the Arizona Medical Board, and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of PIMA. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of PIMA and USHV.
