- Heavily edit existing tour scripts for clarity, flow, and engagement
- Fact-check all historical claims and verify sources
- Cut content for length while preserving narrative impact
- Rewrite sections to enhance spooky, immersive tone
- Ensure consistency in style, voice, and accuracy across all scripts
- Collaborate with the creative team to meet deadlines and project goals
- Think critically and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a writer and/or editor
- Strong background in historical research and source verification
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proven talent for creative writing, especially eerie, suspenseful, or atmospheric narratives
- Ability to produce dozens of unique, compelling ghost stories that feel authentic and immersive
- Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision
- Free ghost tours in any of our 250 haunted cities
