In this role, you’ll provide hands-on patient care and assist with in-office procedures while working closely with physicians in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Medical Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures
- Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR
- Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting)
- Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education
- Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed
- Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service
- Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies
- Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1 year of clinical experience
- CMA or RMA certification preferred
- Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused
- Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
