Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced automotive mechanic to join our team of fire truck electricians. The Fire Truck Electrician is responsible for all electrical wiring and function testing during fire truck production. They will work as a member of an electrical team and must be able to communicate well with the electrical engineer and other production crew to ensure every truck is built to the customer’s specifications and industry standards. They must have strong understanding of automotive electrical principles, work well as a team, and take pride in their work.
- Install and repair electrical wiring, switches, relays, and solenoids in automotive vehicles
- Work with 12v electrical systems
- Use electrical tools to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Understand and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and be self-motivated
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with wiring switches, relays, and solenoids in automotive vehicles
- Proficiency with 12v electrical systems
- Familiarity with a variety of electrical tools
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and wiring principles
