We are seeking experienced PRN OR/PACU RN to join our team. This position is located in our new Ambulatory Surgery Center in Sandy Springs, GA. Since the position is per diem, the days/hours are variable.
How You'll Contribute:
- We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the OR/PACU RN is responsible for:
- Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
- Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
- Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
- Provide patient education
The skills and education we need are:
- Active RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
