Essential Job Functions:
- Listen and address needs of patients as evidenced by company standards and policies.
- Answer the phones, and communicate patient’s needs to the Opticians and Technicians.
- Efficiently take orders for contact lenses, create contact lens encounters and order lenses from ABB or another supplier.
- Navigate insurance websites to assist patients with the available benefits and costs associated with their plan.
- Sell and create encounters for accessories.
- Learn the lensometer.
- Oversee Frame Inventory.
Competencies:
- Ability to interpret spectacle prescriptions.
- Assist in patient frame selection.
- Knowledge of the latest technology in lens designs
- Skilled in frame adjustments and repairs
- Explanation and application of vision insurance benefits
- Use of computer order entry and verification of eyewear order accuracy for quality control
- Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and manage time accordingly to meet deadlines and requirements of the organization.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position based in Bradenton, Florida- University Park.
- Full-time position with days and hours Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm. Saturdays 8am -12:30pm
- Travel to other locations as necessary.
Education and Experience:
- A high school graduate or equivalent (required)
- Excellent communication and listening skills to properly address patient needs (required)
- Customer Service or service-related experience is a plus (required)
- ABO Certification or Licensed in state outside FL. (required)
