Intern (Sport, Marketing, and IT)

As an intern with United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to our mission: To provide access to and increase participation in equestrian sports at all levels by ensuring fairness, safety, and enjoyment. This is a paid full-time summer internship, with a maximum of 37.5 hours per week. This position will also provide administrative support to the department for which they are assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Filing, copying, scanning correspondence.
• Preparing packets and mailings.
• Interact with senior management, coaches, volunteer committees and staff.
• Handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality is a primary requirement of this position, so this individual is responsible for complying with the US Equestrian Document Destruction and Retention Policy.
• Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.
• Special projects and other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
• Exceptional member service is provided, and member relationships are enhanced.
• Communication with members and staff is effective and professional.
• Relationships with Directors and other staff are productive and promote a positive team environment.
• Assistance is provided to other department members when needed.
• Other general office tasks.

Education and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and entering junior or senior year at the time of internship.
• Clerical or customer service experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. (Anything over 25 pounds requires a two-person lift)
