Job Title: Die Cast Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
POSITION SCOPE: Performs a wide variety of diversified installation, repair maintenance and service operations on all plant machinery, equipment and facilities. Diagnoses and corrects difficulties found in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic operation of equipment.
2nd Shift: 3:00pm – 1:30am, Monday – Thursday
**Overtime is as needed on Friday and Saturday’s
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs mechanical operations to install, maintain, and repair die cast machines, melting furnaces, compressors, steel shot blast unit, trim presses, machine tools and other equipment.
- Diagnoses and corrects difficulties encountered in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical operation of equipment.
- Installs, adjusts, repairs and replaces electrical equipment and controls including PLC equipment.
- Inspects machines and equipment and prepares reports following standard procedures.
- Perform welding (MIG, TIG, stick) as needed for fabrication.
- Operates forklift as required.
- Maintains necessary records and reports.
- Assist in wastewater management including monitoring and spill clean up, as needed.
- Performs preventative maintenance and service operations throughout the plant, office and ground areas.
- Able to create and utilize work order system properly documenting actions and time.
- Properly completes daily paperwork.
- Maintain clean and orderly (5S) work area consistent with safety and work rules and regulations.
- Work safely around and/or while operating heaving equipment or manufacturing machinery.
- Work overtime hours as required and be available for emergency overtime when the need arises.
- Comply with all company employment policies, procedures/processes, and programs. Performs duties in compliance quality, as well as safety policies, procedures/processes, and programs.
CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, and WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of basic math, reading, and writing.
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience in blueprint, schematic, and diagram reading for electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, required.
- Experience or training in use of testing equipment.
- Experience with electrical and PLC Software, required.
- Basic hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding, required.
- Forklift, crane, hoist experience, required.
- Lockout tagout experience, required.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
