What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engine Teardown Technician position at US Engine Production Inc.?
Job Summary:
Disassemble industrial & automotive diesel and gasoline engines according to established procedure and instructions.
Essential Functions:
- Perform complete disassembly of industrial and automotive diesel and gasoline engines while following all company instructions and guidelines.
- Use lift and hoist equipment to move engines and parts.
- Use care and attention when handling engine components.
- Skillfully use hand, air and electric power tools in the disassembly of engines.
- Clean and inspect parts for excessive wear, before tagging and storing them.
- Work with Engine Dismantlers as needed to learn the technics of proper engine disassembly.
- Maintain attention to detail under varying circumstances.
- Comply with all safety standards, while maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be a self-motivated, hardworking, dependable person.
- Must possess the ability to work alongside co-workers in a designated area.
- Must have the ability to follow directions, and accept constructive feedback.
- Must be a safety conscious person.
- Must be adaptable and willing to perform duties beyond their normal duties.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry weights up to 50 lbs.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8-4:30 pm
