Job Summary:

Assemble remanufactured industrial & automotive diesel, and gas engines according to established procedure and instructions.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform complete assembly of industrial and automotive diesel, and gasoline engines while following all company instructions and guidelines.
  • Use lift and hoist equipment to move engines and parts.
  • Use care and attention when handling engine components.
  • Skillfully use hand, air and electric power tools, torque wrenches and power angle drivers, in the assembly of engines.
  • Skillfully use typical measurement tools used in the assembly of engines: micrometers, calipers, indicators, and the like.
  • Maintain attention to detail under varying circumstances.
  • Maintain neat, clean, and safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience/Training:

  • Automotive or truck engine assembly.
  • Industrial and automotive engines.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and experience with industrial, automotive engines and components.
  • Must have mechanical ability, with the knowledge and use of hand tools.
  • HS Education or Trade School (BOCES) or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry weights up to 50 lbs.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8-5:00 pm
