What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driving Instructor position at US Driving School?
Driving Instructors are responsible for providing behind-the-wheel driving lessons to students of all ages and experience levels, including teenagers, adults, and foreign drivers. Instructors spend most of the workday on the road, traveling from class to class using US Driving School vehicles equipped with dual brakes (training provided).
Instructors start their day at the office, pick up a school vehicle, and follow their assigned schedule for lessons. Responsibilities include teaching vehicle controls, basic driving skills, and safe driving on local roads. Instructors must document lessons, complete student evaluations, and enter notes using the school’s online scheduling and documentation system.
Instructors work as part of a team, collaborating with other instructors and staff to improve teaching methods and overall student outcomes. Additional opportunities may be available for instructors who demonstrate strong skills and reliability, including participation in social media or other school projects.
