SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (HAZMAT)

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (HAZMAT) in the Material Management Department of NAVSUP FLC NORVA GF.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing supply ordering, record keeping, management and distribution in support of a Hazardous Materials program to ensure proper safety rules and regulation compliance. The incumbent is responsible for the planning and day-to-day management of the sections' functions and programs performed in support of the HAZMAT and CHRIMP programs. Develops work methods, techniques, and local operating procedures for receipt, custody, stowage and distribution, retail stock, and customer owned HM, all of which have special distribution and storage requirements. Performs HM supply program planning and budgeting for supply and related operations. Determines and programs short- and long-range HM inventory management requirements. Determines funding priorities for the CHRIMP and ECAP programs for SUBASE NLON and Newport, RI to include formulating long-range budget forecasts of HM requirements. Initiates requests for reprogramming of budgeted HM funds. Assists customer commands throughout the Northern Mid-Atlantic region with similar functions. Incumbent ensures that all functions are managed in an environmentally acceptable manner. All applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations will be followed in the implementation and daily operational phases of the various HMCs. Directing corrective action or recommending investment to mitigate non-compliant operations.
