This position is part of the DOI; ONRR; Deputy Director; Data Intake Solutioning and Coordination; Data Intake, Validate, and Ind Coordination; IESC ONRR Support. You must be able to report to the advertised duty station in Lakewood, CO.

The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Minerals Revenue Specialist

Qualifications:At the GS-7 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications:

A. 1 full year of graduate level education (i.e. 18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours of education) Note: Applicants who select this response must provide transcripts as verification of their education.

B. A bachelor's degree and Superior Academic Achievement (SAA): If you are claiming SAA, you must submit documentation (transcripts) by the closing date of the announcement showing that you have successfully completed all requirements for a bachelor's degree AND meet one of the following requirements: Superior Academic Achievement is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership. 1. Class Standing: Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses. 2. Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.): Applicants must have a grade-point average of: a. 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or b. 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B " or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum. 3. Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society.

C. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes resolving discrepancies and routine issues with internal and external entities as appropriate; using automated systems to present data to support various organizational projects; responding to simple external data requests.

D. A combination of specialized experience and graduate level education as defined above which equals 100%. (Note: Applicants who select this response must provide transcripts as verification of their education).

At the GS-9 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications:

A. A Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or I have a LL.B. or J.D., if related.

B. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes using automated systems to obtain and analyze data; reviewing and analyzing reports for errors or exceptions; resolving discrepancies and routine issues with internal and external entities as appropriate; responding to requests or recommending courses of action to higher-level analysts or a team leader.

C. A combination of specialized experience and graduate level education as defined above which equals 100%. (Note: Applicants who select this response must provide transcripts as verification of their education).

At the GS-11 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications:

A. A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related.

B. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes conducting analysis involving communication with companies and/or other government agencies; developing and reviewing reports to resolve data and reporting issues ; and providing assistance in defining system requirements for changed or new capabilities, defining test data, and evaluating test results.

C. A combination of specialized experience and graduate level education as defined above which equals 100%. (Note: Applicants who select this response must provide transcripts as verification of their education).

At the GS-12 level, you must meet the following qualification:

One year of specialized experience to at least the GS-11 level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or directly related to the line of work of this position and has equipped you with the knowledge and competencies to successfully perform the duties of this position. More specifically, this requirement involves experience in analyzing and resolving complex issues concerning the appropriate payment of royalties and collection of royalty, production and sales information; utilizing mineral industry production/financial accounting practices to resolve data and reporting issues related to the mineral industry; training, leading, and providing guidance to lower level specialists.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Education:If qualifying based on EDUCATION you MUST provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. Unless otherwise stated: (1) official or unofficial transcripts are acceptable, or (2) you may submit a list with all of your courses, grades, semester, year, and credit for the course. Only education from institutions which are accredited or preaccredited/candidate for accreditation may be used to meet education requirements.
