About the Position: This position is part of the Reemployed Annuitants Cadre, in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). On an as-needed basis, employees occupying these positions provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the United States.
This is a temporary appointment not to exceed 1-year. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Determining appropriate products or services with clients or customers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables; 2) Managing work in the organization; maintaining surveillance over emergency contract mission operations involving one or more contractors; 3) Performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties which are auxiliary to the Response/Recovery work; AND 4) Preparing FEMA damage survey reports.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
