Production Coordinator

This position is located in the Bureau of Global Public Affairs, Office of Video (GPA/DIG/VID). The incumbent serves as a Production Coordinator and technical broadcast production authority, requiring application of both an in-depth, expert knowledge of broadcast operations and systems, including digital signal acquisition technology, video-over-IP, fiber, and cellular transmission systems.

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

 Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Experience planning and running live TV broadcasts, multimedia projects, and webcasts for senior officials or other high-profile leaders (e.g. developing production plans, coordinating resources, and/or delivering multiple productions).
• Experience serving as the main point of contact between producers, engineers, camera crews, master control staff, and external stakeholders.
• Experience applying knowledge of TV production systems, broadcast technology, AV equipment, and digital media workflows to support live and recorded productions.
• Experience assessing technical needs, recommending improvements, and ensuring reliable broadcast and streaming delivery for multimedia projects.

There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
