Responsibilities
*Work within the firm's Bankruptcy Department under the general supervision of the Paralegal Supervisor and department attorneys
- File Proof of Claims throughout multiple jurisdictions nationwide
- Prepare certificate of service and additional documents as needed
- Communicate with team, supervisors, and clients through phone and email
- Must be a team player willing to assist throughout the department
- Willing to take on new tasks, adapt to new challenges, and engage in ongoing training
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a law firm or legal environment. Previous experience working in the bankruptcy field is a plus
- Working knowledge of PACER, NextGen, and/or CM/ECF system
- Key skills include: critical thinking, attention to detail, effective communication, and strong sense of teamwork
- Strong problem solving skills and enjoys working with numbers
- Ability to manage a high volume of files and prioritize workload appropriately
Required Education and Training
- Associates Degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experience
- High school or equivalent required
- Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control strongly preferred
