Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Construction Supervisor role based in Romulus, MI. The Construction Supervisor oversees daily field operations for telecom construction projects, including planning work activities, assigning tasks, and ensuring crews have the resources needed to meet project milestones. This role monitors job sites for safety compliance, quality workmanship, and adherence to specifications, conducting regular inspections and resolving issues that arise in the field. The position coordinates with project managers, subcontractors, and client representatives to maintain clear communication, accurate documentation, and timely reporting on progress and risks. The Construction Supervisor is also responsible for enforcing company standards, mentoring field personnel, and supporting continuous improvement in construction methods, safety practices, and productivity.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and experience with Site Supervision of construction crews.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Candidates should possess practical Inspection skills for reviewing work quality, verifying compliance with plans, and documenting field conditions.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Construction Safety practices, including OSHA standards and safe work procedures for telecom construction.
- Relevant experience in telecom, utility, or civil construction, including fiber or HFC network builds, is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and permits, and to use basic construction and testing tools.
- Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple crews and tasks in a fast-paced field environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or an associate degree in construction-related fields is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in and around Romulus, MI, including working outdoors in varying conditions.
