What this job involves – We are seeking a skilled and versatile Electrician to join our team, responsible for a wide range of electrical work from basic installations to complex industrial systems. This role requires expertise in both low and medium voltage electrical systems, with the ability to work independently on diverse projects in commercial and industrial environments. Your day to day: Key Responsibilities Electrical Installation & Maintenance Install, repair, and maintain electrical outlets, switches, and repair/ servicer light fixtures Run conduit and pull wire for various electrical installations Install and replace Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and related components Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems and panels Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems Medium Voltage Operations Operate medium voltage switching equipment safely and in accordance with procedures Perform switching operations for maintenance, testing, and emergency situations Conduct visual inspections of medium voltage equipment Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures for medium voltage systems Controls & Systems Install, program, and troubleshoot electrical control systems Work with motor control centers, starters, and relay logic Interface with building automation systems as needed Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings Sound like you? To apply you need: Required Qualifications Education & Licensing High school diploma or equivalent Completion of electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience Experience & Skills Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience Experience with VFD installation, programming, and troubleshooting Knowledge of medium voltage switching procedures and safety protocols or willingness to learn Proficiency in conduit bending, wire pulling, and electrical installations Strong understanding of NEC, local electrical codes, and safety standards Technical Competencies Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics Experience with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, meggars, etc.) Knowledge of motor controls, PLCs, and industrial control systems Understanding of power distribution systems and electrical theory Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to work in various environments including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces Comfortable working at heights and in elevated locations Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions Flexibility to work periodic overtime as operational needs require On-call availability may be required for emergency situations Safety Requirements Current OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred Arc flash training and awareness Confined space entry training (if applicable) Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures Use of appropriate PPE at all times Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial real estate or facilities management Additional certifications in specialized electrical systems Knowledge of energy management systems Familiarity with building codes and regulations What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package Overtime compensation Professional development opportunities Tool allowance/reimbursement program This position requires a dedicated professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and can adapt to the dynamic needs of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
