Key Responsibilities
Branch Growth & Business Development
• Generate new business within the branch market by growing deposit accounts, loans, and other services.
• Actively engage with the local community to increase brand awareness and attract new members, including a focus on financial literacy programs and serving underserved populations.
• Build and maintain relationships with members and community partners to drive growth and deepen existing relationships.
• Promote credit union products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
Leadership & Employee Development
• Lead, coach, and develop branch staff to create a positive and high-performing work environment.
• Provide ongoing training and professional development to ensure employees are knowledgeable about products, services, and compliance requirements.
• Establish clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback through coaching and evaluations.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional member service.

Operational Excellence & Compliance
• Ensure the branch operates efficiently and in compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control.
• Oversee day-to-day branch functions, including cash handling, security, balancing vaults, and processing transactions.
• Ensure timely resolution of member inquiries, concerns, and disputes while maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
• Monitor industry trends and recommend improvements to processes, services, and member engagement strategies.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and oversee scheduling to ensure optimal branch operations.
• This role may need to perform the duties of their team if staffing issues are present.
Community Engagement & Financial Literacy
• Actively participate in community events, financial education initiatives, and outreach efforts to support financial well-being.
• Collaborate on programs and partnerships to expand financial literacy education, particularly for underserved communities.
• Represent the credit union at networking events, civic organizations, and business groups to strengthen community relationships.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field (preferred).
• 5-7 years of experience in banking or credit unions.
• Previous supervisory or management experience (preferred).
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on employee development.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, and financial services.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills to represent the credit union professionally.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
