Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Organize the walk-in refrigerator; receive, store, and properly date all deliveries.
- Assist the kitchen with daily food preparation.
- Set up and maintain the expediter station.
- Prepare utensil roll-ups for kitchen use.
- Stock to-go supplies and package takeout orders for guests.
- Ensure hot food items (e.g., egg dishes, pizza, soups) are delivered promptly.
- Check all food for quality and presentation before serving.
- Greet guests professionally; deliver food, offer assistance, and thank guests while inviting them to enjoy their meal.
- Serve food using a napkin to hold plates; ensure orders are complete and confirm if additional items are pending.
- Deliver utensils, napkins, condiments, and side items as needed.
- Pre-bus tables following the “full hands in, full hands out” standard.
- Refill water for guests on return trips.
- Deliver cakes and pies to the kitchen as needed.
- Ensure guests receive all requested items (e.g., extra dressing, plates) and confirm satisfaction.
- Immediately notify management of any issues involving outside food, beverages, or smoking.
- Communicate additional guest requests to management promptly.
General & Safety Guidelines
- Wear required safety gear, including a safety belt and slip-resistant shoes, at all times.
- Use a hand truck when moving or lifting items over 15 lbs.
- Perform physical tasks in various environments, including lifting, climbing, balancing, and extended standing.
- Lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted; request assistance for heavier items.
- Monitor for wet floors or spills; place warning signs and clean immediately.
- Adjust to weather conditions (e.g., secure umbrellas during wind, place mats during rain).
- Ensure dogs remain clear of entrances and stairways.
- Maintain awareness when carrying trays or bus tubs to prevent accidents.
- Practice “clean as you go” by removing debris and hazards promptly.
- Communicate effectively in English; maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor.
- Always prioritize guest satisfaction.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly without assistance
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds
- Ability to navigate uneven terrain or confined spaces safely
- Ability to climb ladders safely
- Ability to work in cold environments
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive physical movements including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and pushing
Closing Duties (PM Shift)
- Store tables and chairs and sweep the outdoor patio area
- Clean, restock, and organize the expediter station
- Check in with management throughout the shift for any additional duties, as responsibilities may vary daily
