As a Kitchen Lead, you'll oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring everything runs smoothly while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency. You'll lead a team of kitchen staff, train new team members, and keep the kitchen organized and well-stocked so that we can deliver the exceptional dining experience that our customers have come to love.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by Example: Oversee and guide the kitchen team during food preparation, cooking, and cleaning. Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency throughout the day.
- Ensure Safety & Cleanliness: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment for the team and guests.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, track stock, and place orders as needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly. Work with management to monitor food costs and manage the kitchen budget.
- Training & Development: Train and mentor kitchen staff, helping them grow their skills and ensuring everyone is aligned with Urth Gaffe's high standards of quality and customer service.
- Problem-Solving & Efficiency: Manage the kitchen's workflow, solve problems as they arise, and ensure the kitchen meets demand during peak times while minimizing waste.
- Competitive Pay: $22.00-$23.00/hr, with the potential for growth based on performance
