Drink Runner - Bar Team

Urth Caffe is a restaurant/café that values teamwork and friendly people.

We are seeking a dedicated Drink Runner to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the smooth operation of our restaurant by delivering drink orders from the kitchen to customers' tables in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Setup tables, chairs, heaters and umbrellas (Rotate during the week)
• Stock straws, napkins, saucers and spoons in runner station.
• Run all beverages during shift. Refill bottled beverages.
• Clean and polish French presses.
• When delivering drinks to the Guest, bring napkins, utensils and straws. Always repeat the drinks to the Guest and ask if they are waiting for anything else, if not then take away the table number and ask them to enjoy their beverages.
• Refill the ice drawer, cups and lemons throughout the shift
• Make sure to keep the bar runner area clean at all times.
• Responsible to call out the correct name of the customer and able to provide the full description of the drink.
• Follow food safety standards and procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with food handling and basic kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

General and Safety:

• Use safety belt and safety shoes at all times.
• Use hand truck to move or lift anything over 15 lbs.
• Must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking and handling of materials.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• The position requires lifting of 25 lbs. anything over 25 lbs. assistance will be given to you.
• Watch for wet floors and spillage, put signs and dry immediately.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift 25/pounds regularly & un-assisted
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• The ability to safely climb ladders
• The ability to work in cold temperatures
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
• The ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, stooping, balancing, reaching, pushing
