JOB TITLE: Events Planner (Part-Time)
LOCATION: Remote
PAY RANGE: $30 - $35/hr.
DURATION: 6 Months
SCHEDULE: 20 hours/week to start; flexible schedule of 4 hours/day or Mon/Wed/Fri.
TOP 3 SKILLS:
- 2 years of event planning experience.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, logistics, and event execution; Swoogo experience preferred.
- Strong communication, project management, and Microsoft Office skills.
Job Description:
Plan and execute events that support the goals of the enterprise. Ensure successful execution of event from start to post-event evaluations.
Responsibilities:
- Plans and executes events, such as marketing and sales conferences, trade shows, and customer-related events.
- Directs logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support, and pre- and post-event evaluations.
- Procures vendor services.
- Works with facility, exhibit set-up, equipment and catering requirements.
- Provides on-site event support.
- Research potential event locations and evaluate alternatives.
- Prepares and tracks budgets, provides periodic progress reports for each event project.
- Conducts post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved upon.
- Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties.
Job Specifications:
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, hospitality or related field or equivalent experience.
- 2 years in an event planner-oriented position.
- Keen attention to detail and follow up / follow through are a must for this position.
- Proficiency in Excel, PPT, Microsoft Office.
- Experience in budget and planning.
- Experience managing all phases of multiple projects simultaneously and adjusting to continuously changing responsibilities and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be available to travel as needed.
