Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring all dietary guidelines are followed for residents and patients
- Serve meals with courtesy and professionalism, maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Handle food safely by adhering to sanitation, cleaning, and food handling protocols to prevent contamination
- Support kitchen operations through bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and maintaining sanitation standards
- Aid in food production tasks.
- Help with general kitchen duties.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed diligently to promote a healthy environment for residents and staff
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with food production, food handling, serving, and sanitation practices is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal preparation and service schedules
- Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not mandatory—training will be available for those eager to learn
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward residents or patients of all ages
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations will support success in this role
