Ursuline Academy seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Head Swimming & Diving Coach to lead its varsity program. The Head Coach is responsible for planning and conducting practices, coaching meets, supporting student-athlete development, and fostering a positive team culture consistent with Ursuline’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
-Plan and lead safe, organized, and developmentally appropriate practices.
-Coach all scheduled meets and oversee meet-day preparation and team logistics.
-Teach proper swimming and diving techniques, conditioning, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
-Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, school administrators, and athletics staff.
-Ensure compliance with Ursuline Academy, league, MIAA, and applicable safety requirements
-Supervise assistant coaches and coordinate team responsibilities, as applicable.
-Maintain required certifications and complete all mandated background checks and training.
Qualifications
-Prior competitive swimming, diving, or coaching experience required; head coaching experience preferred.
-Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
-Demonstrated commitment to student-athlete safety, development, and well-being.
-Current CPR, First Aid, and applicable coaching certifications, or the ability to obtain them before the season begins.
-Availability for afternoon and evening and weekend practices, meets, and postseason competition.
Salary : $3,800 - $5,800
