What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director of Recruitment and Outreach position at URSULINE ACADEMY OF NEW ORLEANS?
Ursuline Academy of New Orleans seeks a full-time, experienced event planner and customer service expert to serve as Associate Director of Recruitment and Outreach. This person is responsible for the planning and execution of student-centered recruitment events, both on and off campus.
Role and Responsibilities
This role reports directly to the Director of Enrollment Management, and plays an integral role in the Academy's recruitment process, working to ensure that Ursuline is a visible partner in the community for families going through the school search and decision process. The Associate Director of Recruitment and Outreach will be an important liaison between school leaders, counselors, parents, and students to provide meaningful opportunities for student engagement, and a source of communication for families throughout the application and enrollment process.
Schedule, plan, and execute recruitment events for prospective students and parents across all divisions (nursery through 12th grade) to explore Ursuline Academy. Areas of recruitment include:
- maintain prospective student / family data
- maintain database of school leader contacts
- collaborate with Director of Marketing to plan timeline of prospect outreach and media planning
- collaborate with Director of Alumnae to assist in the recruitment of legacy students
- assist with Student Ambassadors; student mentor programs
- develop unique and creative concepts for event opportunities
Thoughtfully plan within campus departments to create opportunities for external (off campus) collaborations with feeder schools
Collaborate with Director of Enrollment Management in all activities related to the application and enrollment process, including:
- marketing and communications
- campus tours and guest experience
- request of student records to build application files
- coordination of entrance exams and interviews
- withdrawals and transcript transfers
- financial aid / scholarship application data
Identify potential donors - alumnae, parents, and the broader community - and communicate these to the Director of Enrollment Management for collaboration with the Office of Institutional Advancement.
Stay updated on student data trends and best practices in private and independent education, and share findings with Director of Enrollment Management and other key stakeholders.
Foster high ethical standards, integrity, confidentiality, and respect for colleagues, alumnae, parents, and students in all work.

Perform other reasonable duties as instructed by President of the Academy and direct supervisor.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
● Bachelor's Degree
● 3-5 years' experience in education, event planning, and/or customer service
Preferred Qualifications
● 3 years of experience in the field of education, particularly in enrollment, admissions, or
educational / student data systems
● Experience with Blackbaud and/or similar student data systems
● Experience with Microsoft and Google Office Suites
