Job Description:
We are looking for a dependable, driven, part-time medical scribe to follow/observe an urogynecologist physician to efficiently and accurately document patient encounters into the EMR (electronic medical records).
This is a great position for those who are pre-med/nursing/PA/NP students in a gap year who are passionate about women's health and want to gain medical office experience. This is a excellent opportunity to work as a part of a healthcare team and get familiarized with numerous medical conditions pertaining to urology and female pelvic medicine.
As a medical scribe in a clinical setting you will work alongside a physician that specializes in urogynecology caring for mainly female patients. Summary of duties include: inputting information into patients' medical charts in real time, as well as performing advanced workflow duties that relieve the burdens of paperwork and documentation from the physician.
Scribes will be responsible for recording patient information in the proper format into the electronic medical record. You will be expected to document physical examinations, test results, imaging and labs, as well as patient's subjective medical history. Good typing skills are necessary.
You will also have the opportunity to work directly with the physician in analyzing results and developing treatment plans.
This job location is in Dallas.
It is preferable that candidate can devote at least one year to this job.
Typical Schedule
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00-4:30

Qualifications
Scribing is for highly motivated and driven individuals on a pre-health career track including MD/DO, PA, NP who are at least 18 years old.
Some prior clinical experience is preferred however not required.
Medical Terminology
Prior knowledge of any EMR is a plus
Must be proficient in English: fluency in secondary languages is a plus.
