The Charge Poster is responsible for the entering charges for all office locations throughout the UCNT network.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review fee tickets and enter charges, accept charges from holding tank if applicable
- Add appropriate modifiers
- Utilize AUA coding guidelines for bundling issues
- Review documentation for procedures to ensure billing supports documentation
- Communicate with administrators and physicians as needed regarding coding issues, missing documentations or changes
- Prepare and provide the administrators with their physicians missing surgery charge report each month
- Balance daily charges at end of each day to ensure all charges captured
- Scan batch into Search Express at end of each day
- Assist department with tasks in the event of absence or staff shortage
- Rotating Kitchen & Fax Duty
- Various tasks as assigned by lead or CBO Manager
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Urology and medical terminology
- General knowledge of CPT Codes and ICD 10 Codes, Billing/Coding certification is strongly preferred.
