Education Licensed as a Registered Nurse required
Experience 2 years experience post-anesthesia & pre operative preferred. An additional 2 years experience in med/surg or critical care
Responsibilities The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the surgery center and staff.
Duties
1. Coordinates and assigns work and establishes goals and priorities for center staff
2. Provides supervision over the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the surgery center
3. Serves as a resource in clinical situations
4. Directs, coordinates, and participates in the professional nursing care of patients within the surgery center
5. Provides orientation and training for new staff members. Ensures documentation of same.
6. Assists in the planning and implementation of strategies to ensure that the surgery center meets the accrediting standards of AAAHC and AHCA.
7. Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care
8. Coordinates instruction for special clinical procedures or in the utilization and maintenance of new equipment. Directs in-service education. Maintains confidential personnel files.
9. Responsible for ordering of medical supplies and equipment necessary for the daily running of the facility
10. Assist with research and recommendations of new supplies or equipment as needed or requested by the physicians or to improve the efficiency or cost- effectiveness of patient care
11. Responsible for oversight of operability, maintenance and cleaning of all equipment
12. Oversees the monitoring of the environment of care and life safety.
13. Serves as a member of the Quality Improvement/Risk Management/Safety Committee
14. Contributes to the progress and development of the facility’s compliance program
15. Conducts quality improvement meetings and documents minutes per policies
16. Reviews grievances, processes and suggestions objectively, identifies areas for improvement
17. Oversees auditing and maintenance of medical records.
18. Other duties as assigned

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
