What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-Office Dispensary Technician position at Urology Associates of Mobile?
Summary of Job:
- Manage the UAMPA In-Office Dispensary including all oral oncolytics and cash pay erectile dysfunction medications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fill, sell, and obtain insurance authorization for all prescriptions run through the UAMPA In-Office Dispensary including but not limited to oral oncolytics, tadalafil, and sildenafil.
- Ensure all patients in the free drug programs are receiving their medication.
- Help monitor all Prostate Cancer Foundations and ensure patients obtain needed foundation money based on your assigned worklists.
- Ensure all compliance processes are followed for the In-Office Dispensary at your location.
- Perform other tasks as needed or directed by the UAMPA management team.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Required license: certified medical assistant or certified pharmacy technician
- One years of relevant experience required
Job Requirements:
- Employee must be able to communicate clearly with patients.
- Employee must be able to keep an organized workflow and effectively manage multiple tasks at one time.
- Employee must be able to be active and mobile for an eight hour period.
