Full -time, benefited position for Georgia-licensed Registered Nurse to work in our AAAHC accredited urology-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center. PACU experience preferred but not required. Current BLS/ACLS required. Monday thru Friday daytime work hours (some early-morning starts but no nights, weekends or call). Interested candidates please submit your resume for consideration. General Summary of Duties:
The Staff Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who, under the immediate supervision of the Charge Nurse, is responsible for the safety of the patient while in the preoperative and recovery areas and assists with the supervision of non-professional personnel in the area. By assessment of the individual patient and procedure, the RN anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment.
Education, Training and Experience:
- Current GA Registered Professional Nursing license
- Familiar with the basic nursing performance standards as outlined in the Georgia Nurse Practice Act
- Certification in CPR, ACLS, BLS preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in PACU or ICU.
- Knowledge of:
- patient's rights, surgery center policy and procedures, surgery center fire and safety regulations
- and understanding of Informed Consent Laws
- and experience in the preoperative and postoperative care of the surgical patient
