Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in MS
- Minimum of one year experience in operating room
- Ability to work independently as well as function within a team
- Ability to assess patient needs, determine priorities, plan and direct care of surgical patients
- ACLS preferred
Skills
- Proven experience working with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with medical documentation standards is essential.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile processing protocols, and infection control practices in outpatient surgical settings.
- Skilled in administering injections, IV infusions, catheter care, and suturing techniques.
- Critical care experience including acute pain management, airway management, and vital signs monitoring during procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and patient education; experience working in fast-paced environments like outpatient clinics or ambulatory surgery centers is preferred.
