About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead pharmacy operations in Nacogdoches, Texas. The successful candidate will oversee daily pharmacy activities, ensure regulatory compliance, supervise pharmacy technicians, maintain inventory controls, and provide exceptional patient care.
This position requires strong leadership capabilities, extensive retail pharmacy experience, and an active Texas Pharmacist License.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday
Typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Review and dispense prescriptions while ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain inventory control, medication storage, stock management, and expiration monitoring.
- Counsel patients and provide medication-related information and recommendations.
- Prepare and dispense medications according to prescribed dosages and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication histories.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Fraud, Waste & Abuse regulations, and all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.
- Supervise, mentor, and manage Pharmacy Technicians.
- Assist with performance evaluations and communicate performance concerns to senior leadership.
- Manage staff scheduling, leave requests, and operational coverage.
- Implement policies and procedures that support quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree.
- Active Pharmacist License in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Experience utilizing Pharmacy Patient Management Systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
- Previous experience serving as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC).
- Experience managing pharmacy staff and operations.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to handle medications, tools, and pharmacy equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and fine motor skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $150,000 – $160,000 annually

Ideal Candidate
- Holds an active Texas Pharmacist License.
