Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Transcribe detailed physician-patient interactions during medical examinations and procedures
- Document patient histories, physical exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems to input and update patient information accurately and efficiently
- Assist healthcare providers by managing medical records and ensuring all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Support physicians in preparing reports, referral letters, and other necessary documentation
- Keep up-to-date with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency procedures to ensure precise documentation
- Collaborate with medical staff to improve documentation workflows and ensure completeness of records
Skills
- Proficiency in transcription with excellent typing speed and accuracy
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures
- Experience working in a medical office or clinical environment preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient data entry and management
- Ability to understand and accurately document complex medical information quickly under pressure
