Position Summary:
Auburn Memorial Medical Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our urgent care team. In this fast-paced clinical setting, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to patients with acute illnesses, minor injuries, and select chronic conditions. This role allows for professional autonomy while collaborating with supervising physicians, giving you the chance to expand your clinical expertise across a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct initial and follow-up patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, X-rays, and EKGs.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Document all patient interactions and medical decisions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and minor chronic conditions.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans in accordance with protocols and physician guidance.
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone or secure messaging and coordinate appropriate care or referrals.
- Communicate with referring and primary care providers regarding patient status and care plans.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Licensed (or eligible) as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

Competitive Salary based on experience: $110,000 to $145,000 per year DOE
