Experienced Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced and compassionate NURSE PRACTITIONER (only) to join our healthcare team on a PART TIME or PER DIEM BASIS. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise across various specialties, including acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics and emergency medicine. This role involves providing comprehensive patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering high-quality care in an urgent care setting. Experience with EMR/EHR systems.

Duties

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and physiology evaluations.
• Performs a physical exam based upon the age and patient history Identifies significant health and medical risk factors. Documents findings.
• Must be able to do minor procedures like Suturing, Splinting, I&D, IV insertion/infusion, phlebotomy/venipuncture, IM injections, dealing with xray and other procedural skills as expected for Urgent Care
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physical & diagnostic evaluations.
• Document patient encounters accurately within EMR/EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on all topics as relevant to care.

Hourly pay will commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license, CDS, DEA, in the state of NJ
• Proven prior experience in Urgent Care / ER.
• Proficient in Suturing, Splinting, I&D, IV insertion/infusion, phlebotomy/venipuncture, IM injections, dealing with xray and other procedural skills as expected for Urgent Care medicine.
• Able to see all ages.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology; capable of performing diagnostic evaluations and medical documentation accurately.
• Prescribe and monitor medications according to applicable state APN formulary.
• Ability to work effectively in fast high-pressure environments of a busy urgent care.

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $75.00 - $120.00 per hour
