We are located in South Fairhope, and opened our doors just 4 years ago. We are driven by the desire to build great provider patient relationships in our community, with a strong team and a positive workplace where staff can look forward to coming to work each day.
We are looking for a Radiologic Technician who loves working with ambulatory patients, enjoys a fast paced work day, and has interest in performing (and learning) skills outside of standard x-ray practice. Someone with varied skills and prior experience in an urgent care setting is preferred, but not required.
Our current business hours are:
Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri 8:30-5:30 (Clock in by 8:15, Closing time is 5:30, we will clock out when the last patient is discharged); Sat 8:30-2 (Clock in by 8:15, we will clock out when the last patient is discharged); Closed on Sundays. Closed all major Holidays.
We are looking for someone that wants to work Fulltime with 35-40 hours per week, with a schedule that varies slightly week to week, but with an every other Saturday rotation.
- Perform quality diagnostic x-rays adhering to all practice and safety standards. To be performed without direct supervision of other techs or radiologists.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and schedule routine maintenance
- Assist in record keeping to ensure adherence to all state requirements
Duties to be performed in addition to x-ray imaging:
- Triage patients: basic medical history, current reason for visit, and vital signs
- Assist during medical examinations
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Administer medications orally and via intramuscular injection
- Perform blood draws, nasal and throat swabs, basic wound care, EKG, and ear lavage (We are willing to teach these skills!)
- Run laboratory equipment
- Answer and return patient phone calls, communicate with other Dr.'s offices, hospitals, and pharmacies
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, instrument sterilization, laundry)
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
