Radiologic Technologist
Summary:
Performs radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.
- Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
- Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
- Performs specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures
- Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
- Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
- Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
- Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed.
- Room patients and process vitals/clia tests
- Drug/Alcohol Testing
- Occupational Health Testing (Audiogram, PFT, Fit testing, etc.)
- General cleaning duties/Light cleaning
- Maintain OSHA compliancy.
- Maintain HIPAA compliancy.
- Assist in other areas/departments as needed.
- Attend Scheduled Staff meetings
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Flexibility, dependability and superb customer service is a must.
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Standard shift:
- 12 hour or 8 hour shift
- Must work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, and some holidays)
- Must pass drug/alcohol testing and background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
