Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Nurse Practitioner at our facility in Ashtabula, OH. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing patients, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing emergency and acute care for patients of all ages. The individual will collaborate with other healthcare professionals and maintain thorough medical records with a focus on patient safety and confidentiality. Additionally, the role involves performing physicals, managing follow-ups, and contributing to the overall goal of high-quality, prompt, and compassionate healthcare delivery.
Qualifications
- Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis skills, including proficiency in examining patients, evaluating symptoms, and formulating treatment plans
- Knowledge of Primary Care, Acute Care, and Emergency Care practices
- Experience in performing medical procedures such as suturing, wound care, and administering injections
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills for effectively interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) for maintaining accurate and efficient medical documentation
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner with certification in Family or Acute Care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred
