As an ENT Specialist, you must ensure that patients with diagnosis best helped by surgery will be either referred to the in house surgeon and done in the ASC
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical evaluations of patients presenting with ENT-related symptoms, utilizing physical examinations and diagnostic tools.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate medical, surgical, and rehabilitative strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient histories, treatment progress, and follow-up care accurately.
- Perform procedures such as nasal endoscopy, tonsillectomy, and other ENT surgeries with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals—including radiologists, allergists, audiologists, and primary care providers—to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Interpret medical imaging results such as CT scans or MRIs related to ENT conditions for accurate diagnosis.
- Educate patients on disease management, preventive measures, and post-treatment care to promote long-term health and well-being.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with completion of a residency in Otolaryngology (ENT).
- Board certification or eligibility in Otolaryngology is required.
- Post-residency experience demonstrating proficiency in diagnosing and treating ENT disorders.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck regions.
- Experience with medical imaging interpretation and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education.
- Ability to perform surgical procedures including airway management and minimally invasive techniques.
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare diagnosis codes (CPT/ICD) for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
