What are the responsibilities and job description for the URBN Transportation Analyst position at URBN?
Role Summary
URBN is searching for a Transportation Analyst! This role works closely with functional owners and process users to ensure effective and efficient processes and systems are in place. The analyst role will support the transportation team by utilizing data to help drive new processes and continuous improvement. This role will be accountable for Transportation Analytics and Reporting for retail and digital outbound channels.
Role Responsibilities
- Applies knowledge of logistics and transportation methodologies in support of organizational objectives
- Monitor metrics, identify areas of improvement, and support the development of action plans
- Own the month-end/ R&O/P&L reporting, allocation logic, and carrier invoicing processes
- Provide operational commentary to assist in financial reporting and storytelling
- Create and maintain process documentation for new and existing processes
- Effectively communicate with all levels of internal stakeholders and external services providers
- Monitor project progress, identify and escalate potential project risks and areas of opportunity
- Support the procurement process by developing RFP templates and data analysis that results in provider selection and implementation
Role Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years of supply chain or transportation related experience preferred
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Drives for results while displaying enthusiasm, shows commitment to goals and is relentless in pursuing results
- Deadline driven and displays a sense of urgency
- Exceptional knowledge and proficiency in desktop software applications; Excel, PowerPoint
- Possess the skill to learn new applications and transportation related systems quickly
- Able to work efficiently both individually and as a team member
- Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, familiarity with computer systems
- Must be self-motivated and goal oriented
- Has keen strategic agility; solves tough problems
