What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Fitness Instructor position at URBN Playground?
Group Fitness Instructor
As a group fitness instructor, your role is critical in engaging our residents and helping them to meet their fitness goals. You will lead residents through fun and engaging fitness routines. This location is an age 55 private residential community, and experience providing fitness services for the senior population would be beneficial.
Shifts will vary throughout the week. Wage is $60-70 per class. Aquacise classes are paid $80 per class.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead engaging and fun group fitness classes
- Ensure residents’ safety is in focus at all times
- Support the development and delivery of fitness programs
- Assist members in reaching and maintaining goals
- Monitor equipment to ensure it maintains its quality
- Track and maintain resident and program files
YOU’RE GOOD AT
- Leading exciting fun fitness classes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Focusing on resident experience and satisfaction
MUST HAVES
- Engaging personality and a great sense of fun!
- Group Fitness Instructor certification
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Classes for this building location will include the following:
- Balance and Stretch
- Chair yoga
- Indoor aquacise
- Core
- Zumba
- Chair zumba
- Barre/Pilates
- Strength and Conditioning
- Dance/Tone
- RRCA Certification is a plus!
