Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually DOE

Summary:

Zero Waste Energy at Davis Street an Urbaser Project LLC is currently seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Organic Material Composting Facility (OMCF) located in San Leandro California.

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the ideal candidate will be able to communicate instructions clearly and effectively to their workforce of approximately 10 employees. The ideal candidate will have experience with SCADA/HMI interfaces and will successfully combine the software control, data log reports and daily checks that ensure a controlled efficient process. Additionally, this position requires a regular walk- through of the plant to perform efficiency checks, control input and output, ensure seamless and smooth process.

The ideal candidate will be asked to work five (5) consecutive days a week, periodically working on a sixth day to facilitate production or projects, as needed. Work weeks are 40 hours, with some overtime, as needed for production goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achieve and maintain production levels and goals.
• Responsible of filling and sending out production reports in a timely manner.
• Use radio frequency equipment as required to communicate and give instructions.
• Responsible for operating SCADA daily for production.
• Keeping track and correct completing of plant records.
• Responsible for tracking plant issues and raising them on the CMMS system.
• Ensure that all compliance documentation is completed within specified deadlines.
• Walk around the plant to verify status of production.
• Applying health and safety, environmental and other standards that apply to the process.
• Maintaining standard operating procedures as required.
• Understand operational requirements, standards and service deliverables under the contract.
• Provide suitable means for controlling emergency situations.

EXPERIENCE

• Process software experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Waste management experience.
• Wheel loader, forklift driver, conveyer belt, separators, mobile equipment experience.
• Experience in generating production reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bilingual preferred but not required – English and Spanish.
• Previous leadership/ supervisor experience.
• Computer Literate.
• SCADA/HMI operator.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Wheel loader/forklift certification.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
