Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated teacher to join our team at UrbanPromise Academy, located off Pike Avenue in North Little Rock, AR. This is a full-time, on-site role. The teacher will design and deliver lesson plans, provide instruction in various academic subjects, assess student progress, and create an engaging classroom environment. Additional responsibilities include mentoring students, participating in faculty meetings, collaborating with colleagues to enhance curriculum, and supporting the holistic development of students.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Teaching to create structured and effective learning experiences.
- Strong Communication skills to engage with students, parents, and faculty effectively.
- 10-20 years of experience in Education, with a focus on curriculum development and student assessment.
- Training skills to guide and mentor students in their academic and personal growth.
- Passion for working in a mission-driven environment focused on empowering youth and overcoming gaps in education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Math, English, etc or a related field (required); teaching certification is a plus.
