Responsibilities:
- Perform brick masonry work, including laying bricks, blocks, and stones, according to blueprints and specifications
- Mix mortar and spread it onto bricks or blocks to ensure proper adhesion
- Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, and chisels to shape and trim bricks or stones
- Cut bricks or stones to fit around windows, doors, corners, and other obstacles
- Repair and replace damaged bricks or stones
- Caulk and seal joints between bricks or stones for weatherproofing
- Install metal stud framing for masonry walls
- Apply stucco or plaster to walls for finishing touches
- Lay tiles for decorative purposes
- Assist with construction estimating for masonry projects
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in brick masonry or related field
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade
- Knowledge of different types of bricks, blocks, stones, and other masonry materials
- Familiarity with construction techniques and safety protocols
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications accurately
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Note: Welding experience is not directly relevant to the role of a Brick Mason.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $175.00 - $200.00 per day
